Our Process

   We Will Guarantee a Stress Free Project from Concept to Completion 

Initial Call:  During our initial phone conversation we will ask you a series of questions to get a better understanding of what it is you want to do.  Please set aside at least 15- 20 minutes for this call.  Some of the questions we may ask will be about the ideal starting date for your project and what type of products you may be interested in using.  We will also discuss the average cost of kitchens and baths to see if it fits in your budget.  Upon scheduling an appointment we will send you a kitchen or bath project planner so you can do some homework before our visit.  
 

In-Home Meeting:  At this meeting, the owner Michael Malerba will sit down with you and any other decision makers to go over your project in more detail.  Our job at this point is to listen to what your goals are for your project.  Sometimes homeowners will have a magazine or some pictures to show us what type of style they are looking for.  We will also go over some of the benefits of working with JEMM.  Once we have a clear understanding of the scope of work for your project, we can figure out an approximate budget range that you feel comfortable with.  At the end of the meeting if we both see a fit, we can schedule a second appointment to review the scope of work and ballpark estimate which will be in the form of our Project Planning Agreement.  A flat fee will be required to move into the Project Planning Phase.

Project Planning/Design Phase:  Once the Project Planning Phase begins one of our NKBA Certified Kitchen and Bath Designers will be visiting your home to take measurements and to discuss your project in more detail.  You will have 24/7 access through your client page to all your design and project information.  We will also be making job site visits with our subcontractors and carpenters to acclimate them to the job.  During this phase you will be visiting showrooms accompanied by our designer to make your material selections so we can give you a firm price quotation for your project.  The planning phase for an average kitchen or bath usually lasts between 3 to 4 weeks.
 

Start of Construction:   This is where reality kicks in and you have no kitchen or bath anymore.  Don’t worry.  We have already told you about what it was going to be like.  Nobody enjoys this stage but it won’t last forever.  You will have your updated project schedule to track our progress and will be receiving daily texts or e-mails with project notes and updates.  Our project supervisor will be on the job with our tradesmen to answer any of your questions and our designer will be stopping by periodically to see the progress.  We will keep the job site broom clean and safe for you and your family.
 

Post Construction:  We will conduct in-home inspections of your completed project every twelve months for the first two years to make sure everything is still up to our standards.  All warranty callbacks will be handled in a timely manner.
